I just picked up Children of Bodom "Hate Crew Deathroll" and holy crap is it awesome. Metallica is my favorite band and they can do no wrong in my eyes, I appreciate megadeath, All I ask from metal is that you rip a nasty solo thats so fast your fingers catch on fire, and the notes are so high you'd think Brian May joined slayer.

Well, I've never hailed Metal as my favorite genre of music; however, Iron Maiden is great. Some of my contemporary favs are: Atreyu, Killswitch Engage, Opeth and From Autumn to Ashes. Speaking of Pantera; sorry guys, but way too Red Neck for me. Look, what happened to Dimebag Darrell was a tragedy, but Pantera always seemed to appeal to the trailer park, and besides how lame of a name is Pantera. "It means Panther for Pete's Sake." In short, even though I love old Metallica, James Hetfield lost me with his Red Neck rants of "Yeah, Oh Yeah or better yet; Yeah-i-yeaaah from the Black Album and onwards.

Atreyu is awesome.
FATA isnt really metal, theyre more hardcore.
Pantera is better than you, trust me.
as for your hatred for red-necks.... shut up. who the hell cares how redneck they are? theyre, once more, better than you.
