Puddle of Mudd isn't much better. But they are not AS bad as Nickelback =/

just sayin.

I think I prefer Nickelback a bit more......I think that Nickelback's uptempto songs are better than Puddle of Mudd's uptempto songs.

That's the only songs I tolerate listening to from Nickelback

Jonovision 10-22-2007 06:48 PM

Puddle of mudd.. More like Puddle of Shiit

Seltzer 10-22-2007 07:47 PM

Puddle of Mudd. Both are terrible, but at least Nickelback didn't poorly rip off a Suicidal Tendencies song.

oh snap

Well since I can't honestly recall one Puddle of Mudd song I guess they must be worse in my mind.

joyboyo53 10-24-2007 12:16 PM

I would go with Nickelback because I actually like the song 'Leader of Men' when it came out.... but because there was more than just that one song one the album... and everything since then... Puddle of Mud just for the sake that they ARE NOT Nickelback

Mookie Wilson 10-24-2007 01:33 PM

the post above makes no sense.

i'm gonna say NB sucks more, tho both are terrible. i think NB pisses me off more, particularly chad kroeger's haircut and distinctive guitar straddling playing style. anyone notice that? it's like there's an orphus in the back of his guitar we don't know about...

joyboyo53 10-24-2007 02:04 PM

it actually makes sense. i was pointing out that nickelback had one good song on a ****ty album. everything minus that one song blows. my choice was based more on a dislike for nickelback than puddle of mud.

did you even listen to what right track said or are you trying to get banned?

What right-track said had nothing to do with him/her pointing out that your post makes no sense and seeing as your post didn't make any sense it was a perfectly acceptable comment.

That should actually be: I actually liked the song "Leader of men" when it came out or I like the song "Leader of Men."

Excessive periods aren't necessary, however other punctuation is.

Unfinished sentences/thoughts.

Should probably be something like "I pick Puddle of Mudd because they're not Nickelback.

Your post should actually look like:

I would go with Nickelback because I actually liked the song "Leader of Men" when it first came out. However, since the rest of the songs on the album sucked and so has everything they've done since then. I choose Puddle of Mudd because they're not Nickelback.

Which is a fairly weak statement since Puddle of Mudd make the same mediocre post-grunge crap though they care more about being the next nirvana then selling albums so they're not as soft.

That is either an incomplete sentence or incorrect punctuation, you decide.

So enough of the grammar battle in a thread that doesn't even deserve attention.

Let's face it, it's like picking between two equally large piles of dog poop, each pile coming from a different breed of dog. Neither band has put out anything worse listening to and if both were to stop making music, I'm sure we'd all be cool with that.

joyboyo53 10-24-2007 02:44 PM

I would not have made a point of it if you hadn't. If your going to try and be a condescending smart ass, then don't make a mistake in doing it.

Edit - This is my last Off-Topic post

Your post made no sense, Mookie pointed out you proceeded to go "lols do you wants to get banned!" There was really no sense in defending it, your post was idiotic and riddled with fragmented sentences, unfinished thoughts and excessive periods.

Mookie Wilson 10-25-2007 09:23 AM

Thank you Crow, I don't see how that would be ban worthy anyway, I was merely trying to get to the bottom of what jgd meant in his post. So he dislikes PoM more than Nickelback?

DontRunMeOver 10-25-2007 10:02 AM

I made an interesting observation the other day when a Nickelback song came on the radio, or I felt like I made one. The observation was that the drums, bass and (however much of a twat the singer may be) vocals in Nickelback are all actually pretty good but that the potential for their music to be pretty good is swiftly pissed upon by the pure crappiness of the guitar playing. Somebody mentioned the term 'post-grunge' and I could well see how this description involves guitar parts which possess only three 'variations'.

1. No guitar.
2. Guitar playing straight chords with no interesting rhythms and a clean setting.
3. Guitar playing straight chords with no interesting rhythms and a pretty boring distortion setting.

Those being the same three variations that any idiot with a guitar and a practise amp with distortion setting can make.

If the Nickelback guitar playing had anything about it at all then the band would be quite good. But it doesn't. So they aren't.

Number_Twelve 10-25-2007 10:55 AM

only band worse that dumbass people call "rock" is hinder.....<shudder> this is why the radio blows so friggin much, they play this crap instead of music that is more than power cords and repetive rythms.....YUCK YUCK

Carm.bono 10-25-2007 06:26 PM

k the way i see it is that, PUDDLE OF MUDD SUCKS!!!! i don't like them nearly as much as i do Nickelback...Now please don't laugh or anything when i say this but i actually like the new Nickelback CD...There i said it, geez i think i will regret letting people know that...But i liek the songs like "Never Again" i don't some others that are kind of like upper beat...but then the lower beat i like to listen to it with my g/f, "someday" and what not..."Faraway"...so ya you have my confession....
