After listening to that I wouldn't consider him a good vocalist, his voice is boring and sounds like your typical 'rock' singer you hear on the radio. Plus after reading that all you basically said was that you like his voice, therefore hes a good vocalist.

I agree on the range thing. It is right below originally on my criteria. Also that concert looks extra boring. *Dreams of being at the Isis and Jesu concert coming up.*

Yeah. Why waste our time on them anyway, when we could be discussing much more stimulating topics.

Mr.Jack 01-28-2007 01:06 PM

Nickelback sucks the harriest part of King Kong's ass

Loser 01-28-2007 01:17 PM

I agree Nickleback is the worst the only reason I say that is because I listen to more their music and the melodies they have are good, but not that good.

Kurt_Cobain 01-28-2007 01:42 PM

'Nickelback is the worst, I listen to more their music.' Why listen then? I find their music quite enjoyable in the right mood. Puddle of Mudd just don't have that serious music, and ok you may not like their songs, but Nickelback do have some good lyrics.

That's something I can agree with on.

Ma Cherie 01-28-2007 01:47 PM

nickleback does have some good lyrics, but i still like puddle of mud better, its not as generic

QueenNothing 01-29-2007 09:52 AM

Nickelback!!!!

As in talent or as in sound good because they talk about generic things? First of all I can find so many bands that have lyrics that sound just like theirs, but they came first. Second of all romance lyrics aren't truly coming from the heart these days and I think this a good example. Third of all romantic lyrics are overused and I and many others get tired of them whining about some girlfriend they had in highschool.

sleepy jack 01-29-2007 02:28 PM

Inuzuka Skysword pwnz.

*dave63* 03-14-2007 08:20 PM

Puddle of Mud, most definetly :usehead:

TheUsedToolguy 03-14-2007 08:36 PM

well since Puddle of Mudd had a good song, 'Blurry', and pretty much everything Nickelback has put out in the last 5 years has been horrible, I'll go with Nickelback

Wha? Going by that logic wouldn't you pick puddle of mudd...

TheUsedToolguy 03-14-2007 09:37 PM

the thread says, which band sux more?

sleepy jack 03-14-2007 09:37 PM

Oh right haha, my bad.

Rainard Jalen 03-15-2007 01:47 AM

Nickelback have a better sense of drama and the theatrical than Puddle Of Mudd. But Puddle Of Mudd have a better lead guitarist. Then again, Nickelback have a better drummer. And they're more creative, melodically speaking. But Puddle Of Mudd have denser, deeper instrumental arrangements. Though they also use more overused chord progressions.

Wouldn't it be swell if Puddle Of Mudd and Nickelback combined to form one superband? You'd then have one of the most dexterous radio rock combinations ever to come off a major label.

Immortal Wombat 03-15-2007 07:04 AM

I'll go with nickle back cos they are incredibily boring. All there songs from the past 4 years just sound like rehashes of how you remind me.

Plus puddle of mudd's "she f***in' hates me is agreat song to shout along to when drunk.

P.S. thread really could have done with a poll.

I want to know why you "despise" them so much. Frankly i think your ignorant and dont know enough about music. becauseif you did you wouldnt feel that way. There are many bands i dislike but i dont dispize then because i know there very good at there instruments and just dont make my kind of music.

Puddle of Mudd has made pretty skillfull music in the past, and as not sold out in any way, because there music style hasnt changed all that much.

Nickelback's singer Kroeger has some very good lyrics if you actually take the time to read them, and there drummer daniel adair is one of the best modern day drummers.

So before you shoot your mouths off saying how awful they are, learn what the **** your talking about first.

ProggyMan 09-29-2007 11:07 AM

How us POM skillful? And they didn't have anything to sell out...

hmm how are they skillful. Well there bassist is one of the best. And they sound great live if you v ever been to there concerts. Also acoustic songs sound great. And all the lyrics are about something (singers life) unlike a lot of bands where there about nothing at all.

And nothing to sell out to??? they have sold more albums than the majority of ands in the music industry in only 3 albums.

ProggyMan 09-29-2007 11:15 AM

I'd have to disagree about their bassist being one of the best, and bitching about your life isn't what I would consider good lyrics. My pooint about have onthing to sell out with was that they were very commercial from the start.

You should be banned from the site for saying something like that.

Lol. Nice one. This is a noob that honestly deserves to get run off the boards. Guess I shouldn't be talking about uber-n00bness though.

actually no, not at all. i am a drum teacher, have been to many drum demo's (including his) and yes he is way better technically and creatively than most drummers today. You obviously have no clue what your talking about in the field, and should listen to some of his soloing instruction before disagreeing.

And let me add, sure you may not like the music he plays and his style, but that doesnt change the fact of how good or creatie someone is. Some of my favorite drummers, guitarists, dont play at all the music i like.

Cari Lynn 09-29-2007 04:03 PM

Nickelback.

So we disagree and none of us know what we're talking about. Nice logic.

holdyoualways 09-29-2007 05:08 PM

puddle of mudd has a few decent songs
nickelback just suck overall & are extremely over rated
so yeah, my vote is nickelback

Kevorkian Logic 09-30-2007 05:46 PM

how about they both suck, you need to learn how to spell, and we leave it at that?

^I third that.

So it is said, so it shall be....

<3_BEAUTIFUL_HELL_FAIRY_<3 10-01-2007 07:35 AM

Personally I don't think that they suck at all.. I like them both... They both have good songs...but If there was one that I don't like as much... I would probably like Nickelback more

Wayfarer 10-01-2007 12:07 PM

Nickelback might be good. Who knows? A bit hard to tell when they've only written one song.

under 10-04-2007 05:06 PM

i gotta say i've grown to not like Nickelback. sure they have the same sound in there album(s) but it gets really boring/annoying after a while.

Puddle of Mudd isn't much better. But they are not AS bad as Nickelback =/

just sayin.
