Meshuggah - Future Breed Machine. It scared the hell out of me back when I didn't listen to metal, and is quite an energetic track. The structure of the song with the eerie middle part makes the finish even more powerful.

I'd have to say Soulfly's Bleed. I know some will say it isn't really metal (yeah, yeah) but it's the single most sgressive track ever! (Except for all the other most agressive tracks that will probably be pointed out now!!)

In terms of 'intense'.

I'm going to say 'Break On Through' by the Doors.

I find the song gripping the whole way through.

I'm not a huge fan of the hardcore scene, but the band Most Precious Blood has some pretty intense songs. It's kind of a hardcore thrash mix but the singer has a brutal voice in their latest work. It's more intense in terms of harder music and somewhat violent vocal styles.

I'd throw out "The End" by The Doors, and, definitely my favorite intense song, Radiohead's "Climbing Up The Walls," which sends shivers up the spine if listened to at full volume on headphones in the dark.

Haha I thought I was the only one who loved Climbing Up The Walls, it's my favourite Radiohead song.
