I think Sick Sick Sick by Queens of the Stone Age is pretty intense.
Some other possible candidates would be Black Dog or Achilles Last Stand by Led Zeppelin. Black Dog can sound kinda wimpy when you start out, but by about 1 minute to the end, you just can't stop head-banging. And Achilles Last Stand is proof, I think, that a song doesn't have to be loud or incoherent to be intense. It's a ten-minute long marathon, and you start wondering how anybody could possibly have enough energy to rock so hard for so long. |
Depends what you mean by intense. Here's what I think:
Non-Objective Portrait of Karma by Circle Takes the Square Fault and Fracture by Converge There Are Objects & Objects by A Day in Black and White Song About an Angel and Sometimes by Sunny Day Real Estate |
All of As the Roots Undo is pretty intense
|
Danse Macabre by Celtic Frost is pretty intense, not through sonic noise-just it's composition-really freaks me out!
Slayer-Reign in Blood is a brilliant example of controlled aggression. Death-Open Casket. Swans-Anything from their debut EP Joy Division-Day Of The Lords Obituary-Intoxicated |
Intense can mean many things...
Kreator - Murder Fantasies High on Fire - 10,000 Years Pink - Electric Electric Wizard - Vinum Sabbathi King Crimson - Fractured White Zombie - El Phantasmo and the Chicken-Run-Blasto-Rama |
