Concerning the title: I bet nobody can find me the perfect band

Well that is not much of a bet becuase you could shoot down any or all suggestions. And would any of us would know you secretly think they are perfect?

That is not a challenge but your sentiment. You believe or feel that "Nobody can find me the perfect band/music for me." A challenge would be if you were to ask "Could you find the perfect band/music for me?"

I know you will think 311 is the perfect band for you, but you probably would admit it.

New Nickelback? Huh? They came out around the same time, so I really don't know what you're talking about.

Definitly Pink Floyd. They are so diverse and re-invent them sleves every album. This is greatness.

I guess we must be listening to two different versions of Pink Floyd then. Their sound hardly evolved once Gilmour joined the band in the late 1960s and they were still playing their tired old brand of progressive rock right through the 1980s.

Three Days Grace. Alternative metal/post-grunge that's just commercial enough for you.

Nice try, but the OP digs more sophisticated stuff like Linkin Park, so I guess Steely Dan may not be their cup of tea.

I'd say the reality is somewhere in the middle, no doubt Floyd has a sound all their own but it's a sound that allows for a pretty diverse and experimental catalog.
