Maybe he simply meant something heavy and aggressive while still being listenable and while still being music and not just loud noise.
I'm not usually a fan of aggressive music but I like songs such as Deftones - Headup | LYRICS - YouTube . It isn't the heaviest song in the world, but it combines heaviness and aggressiveness while still sounding good, at least IMO.
Only thing I find heavy about Suffocation is their bass, otherwise their riff is boring and generic and I find growling hilarious instead of brutal so they don't quite do it with me.
