There is an amazing band from Edmonton called Action News Team. They are always releasing new music and have such killer tunes. Also they are an amazing group of people to be around. Check out any of the albums on band camp and Im sure you wont be disappointed.

There's a really awesome metal band from Finland called Pain Confessor. I would recommend for example a song called Lake of Regret!

U.p.o.
Zoltan Bathory was the bass player for the band U.P.O. Who is currently the lead guitarist for Five Finger Death Punch. I always thought that this particular song was underrated, overlooked anyway.

These are the crazy f*ckers that gave me this name
Portland's Wreck Creation. I actually helped capture the audio at the 3:01 mark, from the great 1992 movie "Bad Lieutenant"

I've heard songs by the band Close Your Eyes that I absolutely love, and I know nothing about the band. I'll definetly look a lot more into them, though.

Love Battery is a fantastic band that no one has heard of. They were lumped in with the '90s "Grunge" movement and were even signed to Sub Pop. Do yourself a favor and listen to their debut album, Dayglo, on YouTube, or even buy it. They're probably my favorite unknown band.
The Dwellers are an amazing Power Pop band that for some reason never caught on with 99% of the music listening population, despite being signed to capitol records and having one of their albums produced by the legendary producer Tony Visconti. They're so unknown, it's hard to find their songs on even YouTube, which seemingly has every song ever made. Check out their 1995 album, Whatever Makes You Happy, which was the one produced by Tony Visconti. |
I probably like too many unknown bands. My favorite, though is definitely Breaking Through and Down in Ashes .... and His Name Is Alive.

I'm from the PNW & I've totally heard of LB. The album was pretty good but they weren't very good live. |
Lair Of The Minotaur: fantastic brutal metal that is all based on mythology
Church Of Misery: heavy doom metal that is all based on serial killers The Biters: great, catchy power pop rock |
