Default New releases

I'm a frequent buyer of Rock Sound and Metal Hammer magazine as it helps me keep on top of all the new music coming out, you would be disgusted to see how many albums I have saved as playlists on Spotify but as music lovers you'll appreciate that it has to be done.

Recently I've been finding myself not too interested in the articles within these magazines as there's never much in them content wise. General moans and groans and the artist telling us how hard the making this album was for his 7 kids and 3 wives yadda yadda, so.. My question..

Seeing as these magazines are so good at recommending bands I haven't heard of before as well as the big bands that I'm interested in, is there a website that does the same without having to trawl through sub-folders and "related artist" pages to find what I'm looking for?

I appreciate that you might say "type "tag:new"" in to Spotify but the main issue with that is the new tag only shows albums since the last update was done.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
