Who's Your Favorite Band?

What's up everybody? I decided I'd join the forums to talk a little music. I'm sure you've had similar threads, but just to satisfy my curiosity and give me an idea of what everyone listens to, what is everyone's favorite band here? I'm a Pink Floyd geek. :p:

Xurtio 04-07-2014 01:42 PM

Pink Floyd :)

Puffnstuff 04-07-2014 03:37 PM

After Forever is my favorite and it's sad that they broke up back in '09.

Does Michael Bolton have a band? If so, that's my favorite band.

I like that song "**** the Copier feat. Samir".

Plankton 04-08-2014 11:46 AM

I'm kinda partial to Kajagoogoo.

I mean JUST LISTEN TO THIS!

The hair, the clothes... it's everything anyone could ever want in a band.

I'll see your Michael B and raise you a Kenny G.

They could open for REO.

The hair is a turn off to me, he looks like a skunk and has a lesbo haircut. U_U

Last time I checked we were all entitled to our own opinions. Don't undermine my personal tastes again please.

Pfft, Rubber is a total ripoff of Elastic. Basically identical.

Hey it may be a ripoff but at least Rubber came up with different material.

I find Rubber's side projects a lot more valuable, especially the albums Eraser and Tyres.

Waist trumps all.

That'd be a good name for band actually. Tighty Whitey and the Waist Band.

SoulSurvivor 04-09-2014 07:18 PM

Red Hot Chilli Peppers!

Wpnfire 04-09-2014 09:14 PM

My favorite rock or metal band (those are what we're talking about right?) is probably AC/DC. About a year ago I 'discovered' AC/DC, and I've cycled through Back In Black, Thunderstruck (even the 2cellos version), T.N.T., and Highway To Hell as my favorite songs by them.

I've never switched my favorite song by a rock or metal band as much as I've done with AC/DC.

Bruce Springsteen is a very (very) close second to AC/DC, possibly tied.

Jacko 04-10-2014 04:54 PM

Nightwish!

Carpe Mortem 04-11-2014 09:31 AM

I hate answering this question because I go through phases of obsession with bands, and I haven't heard every album or every band ever so it might change at the drop of a hat.

I guess the most consistent enjoyment over the years has come from Electric Wizard. I've been into them for a long time, and always down to hear them.

Right now though I'm pretty obsessed with Amon Duul II.

djchameleon 04-11-2014 05:24 PM

I'm just going to put it out there and say that I've enjoyed Linkin' Park since their debut. I didn't like their change of direction at first with their third album but it grew on me and I now look fondly on it.

I've always liked LP, new and old. I remember when the first Transformers movie came out, and one of my sisters complained about how Linkin Park's new songs were in the movie, and it didn't bother me at all.

What!?

Madness!

I can understand you saying that for Minutes to Midnight but Meteora was a really solid effort from them.
