Can get into Soundgarden's early stuff, and FNM sort of sounds like early 90s Dream Theater (which I used to love, but I've been moving away from for a while now), so those two are gonna have to be it.
The thing that sets Rage Against the Machine apart from me is that they have a bit of groove metal in there too, which just adds so much soul to the genre. I think some people just think the sound doesn't fit in. Plus, the lyrics are awesome.
