Well tbf that's how I'd describe most of your music. Also, why are you bringing Genesis into it when this is a Metal thread? Just couldn't resist eh? Ya hadda come back for the Crushinator, didn't ya, robot?

I'd say in all honesty that if there are two things that your music has going for it it's that it is technical and it's certainly experimental.

Highly technical music can be incredible. It's when it's the only redeeming factor of a song is when it's wanky bs.

SUGGEST ME AN ALBUM - I'm probably not going to listen to it but I will if you bother me enough.

I don't want to be derailing Batty's thread, but you're throwing down the gauntlet here. It's incredibly, and I mean incredibly, ignorant to say the only redeeming feature in Genesis's music is that it's technical. Idgaf how technical it is or isn't; I don't play. I listen to it for the melodies, the lyrics and the way it all goes together. You may not like it but that's subjective and you can't just dismiss it because you don't like it. Only I may do that.

Seriously, that's a terribly close-minded view, would you not agree? Most of Genesis fans are unlikely to be musicians, so do you think they listen for the technical aspects of the music??

Might be thinking about later Genesis.
Try Supper's Ready.

TBF, if it's to be discussed we need to move to another thread, or make one. If Frown is interested in debating this topic. Otherwise in deference to Batty I'll just drop it.

This thread has been on so many derailments that we've got more tracks than Amtrak. It is still vaguely on topic though.

Their music is pretty complex but it bores the hell out of me. That's why I consider their music in the way I described since technicality is all that they have going for them. I'm not going to call you close minded for what you said about my music (and mean it), since clearly we have different kinks.

You'd give your left nut to write something so simple and melodic.
