Also, my number one problem with power metal has always been the singers that use that opera style of singing that I loathe, and the singer for HammerFall doesn't use that vocal stlye as much as the others, and he sings somewhat lower. It's funny though, if he sings just a little bit higher like the singer on that Stratovarius album, it would kill my interest.

Dickinson is much more aggressive with his vocals than the majority of bands on this list. The majority of the time his vocal style is closer to shouting than anything.

I only like heaviness when it feels right for the song. Some heaviness seems forced, and that's what Hammerfall feels like to me. The quieter parts of Hammerfall are good, but everything else is just alright for me.
