High tempo is mandatory for thrash metal to me, and if we are talking about which album is the better thrash metal album, RIP is unequivocally the winner.

Come at me.

Eh, it's still a thrash album. I'm more worried with what I like more as opposed to what's more true to the genre. Plus it'll be pitted against metal albums of other genres if it takes the win this round. I think we should keep RIP, but I think Peace Sells is better.

Considering the Batlord has (the undisputed king of viking metal albums) in Hammerheart under doom (?), I suppose weighing which album is truer to their respective categories is kind of irrelevant. So, yeah, why is the glorious Hammerheart under that category? Can't we fit an Om release under there or something?

Because it's a ****ing doom album. What about it isn't doom? Slow tempos, repetitive riffs, heavy... what am I missing? Doomsword, who are pretty much Hammerheart with a power metal influence, are called epic doom no problem.

Calling it. Too hungover to come up with jokes so both Exodus and Anthrax go down, since they both had the same number of current and past votes. New round...

3. Slayer - Reign In Blood
2. Megadeth - Rust In Peace
1. Metallica - Master of Puppets

Vote 1 off. Round ends January 27.

My vote...

Megadeth - Rust In Peace
