I'm also kind of surprised that Bat voted off Death. I took him for some kind of Schuldiner groupie.

Where the hell did you ever get that idea? I dig Death's first three albums, either don't care about or hate their next two, dig Symbolic, and then never bothered to listen The Sound of Perseverence. Or Control Denied for that matter.

Idk, I think I saw you make some positive comments about them. That and I've only seen you talk **** on Mastodon.

I definitely dig Death, but they're just not one of my favorite DM bands. Scream Bloody Gore is defly one of my top old school death metal albums, though, and their Death By Metal demo back when they were still Mantas is some quality proto-DM/1st wave black metal.

And when did I talk **** about Mastodon? I'm not a fanboy or anything, but I don't have much bad to say about their music up to Blood Mountain (after which they went a little too prog for my tastes).

****. I stopped paying attention to this thread and I didn't realize we're doing metalcore next. I'm going to have to listen to those albums.

Also, I'm very interested in all of the remaining battles.

Were not doing metalcore next were doing folk metal.
