Hey, if you think we can get at least four or five people in on drone then by all means I'll extend it, but I'm dubious about how many people have even listened to much drone let alone give a **** about voting in a drone battle. At least power metal is a more universally known genre.

Black One is already in the avant garde metal battle.

And I find that odd. Granted, I don't listen to all that much drone metal, but Monoliths & Dimensions sounds like drone personified, whereas Black One seems far more experimental.

I see where you're coming from, but I think that Black One incorporates both the drone and metal elements. That's not to say that M&D doesn't, it's just that Black One does it more so. I guess I'm mainly talking about Alice, because that's straight drone and I don't hear any metal elements really. They're fine in the categories they're in now, forgot that Black One was in another category.

Going down for funeral doom

6. Evoken - Antithesis of Light
7. Mournful Congregation - The Monad of Creation
8. Asunder - A Clarion Call
9. Colosseum - Chapter 1: Delirium
10. Disembowelment - Transcendence Into the Peripheral (just put it on there, what have you got to lose?)

Khanate - s/t is definitely a must for drone metal. Maybe even Burning Witch - Crippled Lucifer

Since been added to doom metal, cause I was a fool not to in the first place. And would anyone consider Skullflower's IIIrd Gatekeeper drone metal or just plane drone? It's close, but I don't know if it fully crosses over.

I was considering putting up Skullflower, but I chose Gary Mundy's earlier project Ramleh because it's a lot heavier imo.

Alright, so we've got Jansz, Mondo, and Frownland down for drone, and I'll participate just because it's my thread and I have to, so I guess that's enough. If Carpe can be bothered that'd probably make five, and I'm sure if we could lure out bob. he'd be down. So I guess we're expanding drone to a full ten.

What about funeral doom? How many people care? We need four at the very least.

Don't know much about funeral doom but I'll listen to those albums and participate. I'm guessing that Ninetales will be down for drone and funeral doom as well.

The only ones I plan on skipping are power and glam.

Now we just need to contact his bitch ass and get him in on it.

And I was just listening Ramleh and Keiji Haino and they sound more like noise music combined with normal drone. Sort of like a doomier Merzbow. Don't know that I'd really call them metal.
