O-kay...

This is not the Batlord's Torture Chamber Month (don't get any ideas, Batty!) --- I don't necessarily want bands I'll hate ffs. Perferably bands I can listen to and talk about, though if I'm stuck I'll try this one of which you speak. But please don't recommend them just to upset me and make me listen to stuff I wouldn't normally touch with a ten-foot. That's not what Metal Month is about.

Acid King is a popular stoner doom band, and the only metal band I know of that is female-fronted. I was kidding with the torturous statement, although Lori does (purposefully) sing off-key. In all seriousness, Busse Woods is a solid stoner doom album and I'm sure you can find someone else here that agrees with me about that.

I have to leave Girlschool off, as they were covered in the NWOBHM article pretty in-depth (went deep into 'em; go on go on. You know you want to....)
