Tool is metal. And what this guy who has been ranting about how they're not, is just ignorant drivel. It's like he's got it in his head that a band has to sound a certain way or carry a certain level of intensity in their music to be a metal band. Metal isn't this boxed in genre anymore, it's grown, and it has it's obvious sub genre. It even did back when it was still a new sound tickling the ball hair of music listeners all over man. So I don't know where this Neurotripsicks gets their information about what metal is, but the guy is way off base here.

Short of what I think of Tool is this. I love the band, put on an awesome live show when I saw them a few years back. They're not everyone's cup of tea. But that's fine by me.
I don't much like Tool but this is a quality post, but Neuro won't take any notice of it and probably say what you've written is nonsense.

Me too. Melt Banana opened for them. It was my 29th concert and by far the nest show I've ever seen.

This post is ironic.

I think so. Maybe. I'll have to consider it by looking at my chart of musical laws.

Persistent trolling really spoils the enjoyment of this forum, especially when you yourself cut and pasted evidence stating that the band were a metal band with these albums. You've now conveniently avoided answering that question.

If you think they're a progressive rock, psychedelic band or even a folk band then that's your opinion, but the rest of us know them as a progressive metal or alternative metal band and your bogus rhetoric is not going to change that so deal with it.

I really don't know why you're still blabbering on, your lack of knowledge makes you look dopey (I'm sure you're not really) and like most trolls you'll just go on with it sinking deeper and deeper.

I mean do you really think you're totally right here?

Here's something for you buddy...

If we're all so misinformed and ignorant, then why not educate all of us just what exactly IS metal?

This should be good...
