It's all good. But remember, every time that you fail to listen to Synthpop, a Norg gets his wings.

Then maybe he'll fly away.

@Oriphiel Thanks for the suggestion! I'm not out of ideas, I just hadn't got around to finishing the list.

SUGGEST ME AN ALBUM - I'm probably not going to listen to it but I will if you bother me enough.

I'm late on this, but in what universe are the Red Hot Chili Peppers more essential than Funkadelic? Like, in a contest between maybe the greatest American band ever on one side and, "Hey guys we're from California, California, shirtless rapping, California, I guess our bass player's pretty good, drugs, California," on the other, what kind of terrible human being picks the second one?

In the universe where name recognition counts and elitist douchebags like us are on short supply.

I feel like most (or, a lot of) people know Funkadelic, but you're right that more people know RHCP.

Honestly we could have a whole category of just P-Funk albums and that would be fine with me.

1. I only wanted to push Funkadelic out because they are much less rock, and much more funk.

2. If we had a whole category of P-Funk, then we would have one band taking up an entire album.

tl;dr I like Funkadelic, but they aren't as rock as RHCP is, and they wouldn't fit on any other list.

I mean Foreigner are a rock band too, they're at least as essential as RHCP. And where's Journey, or Styx? But in all seriousness, I would say Funkadelic were absolutely a rock band.

Having a P-Funk category was a joke - it would by definition only be albums by one/two bands. I kind of think, as Batlord said earlier, why limit ourselves? This is going to be so long and extensive anyway, so why not do whatever we can to include albums and artists that are obviously great?

Journey, Styx, Foreigner and the like will likely end up on the AOR list.

Also, I finished up the Psychobilly list. Take a look, and tell me what I did wrong.

Can somebody who cares more about hardcore than I do fix this? Like, no Black Flag, no Bad Brains, no Minor Threat? What is this? What. Is. This?
