If you're gonna put an Alice Cooper album in the rock opera list, shouldn't it be Welcome to My Nightmare?

I guess so. I just wasn't sure. I agree it's a rock opera, but RYM didn't, so I was trying to lead more towards the popular opinion instead of my own. Still, I think knocking off Last Temptation in place of Welcome is a good idea.

Yes, an album can only be on one list, the Velvet Underground fiasco was my fault entirely. Also, I'm cool with any and all changes, so here's what I think:

1. Both Mindcrime and Dream Theater should be removed, as they were represented in the Prog Metal list over on Metal Album Survivor. In that case, we'll need replacement albums.
2. I'll stick Welcome to My Nightmare on the list.
3. It doesn't matter on which list the album is, it's there.

SUGGEST ME AN ALBUM - I'm probably not going to listen to it but I will if you bother me enough.

This is a different thing though, right? I think Operation Mindcrime can keep its spot if that's the case.

^ That creates an open space on the psychedelic rock list, which I recommend filling with The Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators. I'd also replace Rundgren with Pink Floyd's Piper at the Gates of Dawn--a much more important psych album.

Let's not forget heavy psych. I'm no expert on that, but we must include In-a-gadda-da-vida.

In-a-gadda-da-vida is really only good for the title track. The rest of the album is dull filler.

That would be, acid rock, and yes, Mountain needs to be on there too.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

I wouldn't call them the same thing. Sure, Iron Butterfly are both, but I'd say acid rock is more experimental while Heavy Psych is riff-based.
