Trade out Milo for Everything Sucks and it'd be it's own section without having to seperate.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

I'm sorry... but I don't understand. I meant if we did a separate punk survivor series this would be another round for that.

Oh, I thought you meant since your list has some overlapping with the current punk rock list.

Added the Emo and new Arena Rock list. I replaced The Seventh One with IV because I trust Unknown and Anteater a bit more on this one. Sorry, JGuy.

Honestly, I don't see the point in making a separate thread. The only reason metal is not a part of this is because Metal Album Survivor was created before this thread. I mean, we could just alternate battles between both threads rather than do the entirety of one after the other. Though that just feels a bit redundant to me, as that would happen here anyways. Plus, with that comes the extra task of managing two threads at once, something I'm not very excited about. I already have a ton on my plate. And if we split off punk, what about alternative? Alt Rock definitely has enough battles for it's own thread... So, I guess we'll go with the popular opinion, but I'm personally voting against splitting.

SUGGEST ME AN ALBUM - I'm probably not going to listen to it but I will if you bother me enough.

I'm not that worried about Toto. I just went with his decision so I didn't fill it with things I only agreed with.

I'm fine with either or. I'm not worried about length, so I'm fine without separating.

You can use the skate punk one if you want. There's enough of the popular punk rock bands to make it a list, and let's use Tristan's idea to switch the Milo album.

EDIT: By the way, "Escape or Frontiers" was as choice between the two. Both have great Journey singles, so I'm up for either/or.

I kept the majority of votes from all three, 2 or more for the same band, and I put in my 2 cent (or two albums).

As far as knocking of Heart goes, we should include Heart somewhere, so can we implement Dreamboat Annie in the folk rock list? I'm still kind of against Joni Mitchell in the list...
Dude...

Damn, we should put Asia there. I'd say replace... REO Speedwagon or Strangeways.

By the way, how long will it be before each one gets one? I'd like a couple days to prepare for the next, since that's how much time I'll have. One every three days? Or maybe mondays and thursdays?

It's 13 million, but that's really high. Not to mention, five hit singles. Anything for Love, Life is a Lemon and I Want My Money Back, Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through, Objects in the Rear View Mirror May Appear Closer than They Are", and Good Girls Go to Heaven. Two of the music videos for these singles were directed by Michael Bay.
Plus, Def Leppard's Hysteria sold 20 million, and we have no other Def Leppard albums in the lists. I'd at least like these two to get in. I don't care much about the rest.

But, I'll see what I can do about that child list.
You've never heard of "Broken Wings" "Kyrie" or "Is It Love" by Mr. Mister? Also Survivor were one of the biggest selling of all AOR bands and had plenty of hits. Bad English was a supergroup from the members of Journey and The Babys and their debut was a classic album and one of the best of the later AOR glory period.

Well IV is the more famous album but The Seventh One is the superior album.

Like I said before you really need to do two cats for AOR and Arena as it will end up being a mess. For example AOR is primarily an American west coast movement so most of its bands come from there, of course there were a lot of big AOR bands that didn't, but they still looked like that they came from California Even then its rock and pop influenced bands sounded quite different as well. All the bands were pretty smooth sounding and Foreigner was about as rough around the edges that they got, but that was probably due to its half British band members.

I'd put Meat Loaf and British bands like Def Leppard in a different cat, in fact Van Hagar era Van Halen was probably nearer to AOR on their commercial stuff than Def Leppard ever were.

Personally I'd go with the two lists I sent earlier and create a third for arena rock, you've already got enough lists to last you for the next ten years, so two or three extra lists won't make much difference.
