No, I'm one of those people who have a hard time dealing with harsh noise and seriously growly vocals, as examples. I also kind of need the volume a little high when listening to albums. Every time I've played either, it gave me a headache.

Can we please stop discussing this? I admit it's partially my fault, but I'm done having the same damn argument about this.

This is also pretty easy on the ears, and you don't have to worry about Burzum being Satanic.

This track is, and always will be one of my all-time favourite black metal cuts. Kicks some serious ass but is equal parts hypnotizing and memorizing.

Decent song. You're right about it. Thanks.

So now that we have that out of the way, let's get back to the main topic. As far as any replacements on jazz-fusion goes, I can't really judge. I've only heard about 9 jazz-fusion albums, with Hot Rats being the best. I'll leave that to the jazz pros.

You should probably check out Botanist's self titled.

JGuy, before we get this thread back on track, you need to listen to some Avant-Metal. For me, it was the key to getting into metal seriously for me. I also quite enjoyed Doom Metal. Ah, thinking back to a year ago. I was so unenlightened, with my post-punk leanings. I mean, I still lean towards post-punk, but hardcore's pretty in for me now as well.

SUGGEST ME AN ALBUM - I'm probably not going to listen to it but I will if you bother me enough.

Well, I'm listening to something extreme and taking it well. I'll tell later

At this rate we'll be able to do an "Artists who died in 2016" list.

If you want I could slide it onto the Pop Rock list.
