Genres are a difficult subject. I'm learning about new genres almost everyday. And terminologies get thrown around pretty loosely.

I already expressed the way I felt about it and if you think that no one in the world thinks they are not rock and just in a smaller genre of Grunge than you are not thinking straight.
If I had evidence that people thought this way I could start thinking straight.

"Just rock" sounds like it should refer to the original sound of rock'n'roll, like Bo Diddley, Elvis, Buddy Holly, and Little Richard. Other than that there is no "just rock".

It may be Alt, but it's a different era of Alt. At a certain point, I think around 1991 when Nirvana changed the scene, that sort of music began to move more towards being called indie rock anyways, so most of the stuff called Alternative after '91 is ambiguous anyways. It's really more alternative pop in most cases.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

I don't find it at all difficult to believe that there are people who would say that Nirvana isn't rock.

Heck, there are still people who fall for advance fee scams. People who believe in astrology. People who believe that there really are good-looking women who respond to Craigslist ads with unsolicited nude photos, immediately looking for unpaid sex, if only you'd sign up for some website. Etc.

My fave 90s rock band. Hands down. Such distinct vocal harmonies. Not sure why this band was ever considered grunge other than they came out of Seattle.

This **** rocks hard.
