I think it's just supposed to be stereotypically epic sounding music, generally made up if galloping melodic riffs, soaring operatic vocals, and rolling drum patterns, like they have in abundance.

Not like there's any definition if epic music carved in stone anywhere

Exactly my point. Fantastic metal exists, why listen to this crap?

I'm just glad I can justify my opinions and preferences with actual musical evidence, instead if saying they suck just because. Or putting quotations around a word.

At the end of the day that's all I care about.

You referenced the same thing I did by saying it was stereotypical instead of using quotes. Manowar is a flat soda. If you dig guzzling, know that there are carbonated drinks out there.

Actually that song is outrageously gay. Most of the ones that overtly talk about how metal they ate are outrageously gay.
