I personally just find their music boring and it all sounds the same. They're like the Nickelback of metal. Their costumes don't really help their image either.

Now that's an explanation I'd accept. Of course I won't judge you that you don't like them, as you can't judge me because I like them, I even respect that you can give a good explanation why is that. And for that similarity in their music that you mentioned, I'd say that Motörhead's songs (for example) sound even more identical, but we all love them much more (they are my third favorite metal band).

I know plenty of people who like them, and if they want to show me a song that they like, I see no harm in that either. I liked them years and years ago, but when I started listening to other metal bands, they sort of lost a place in my collection, and eventually I just couldn't listen to them.

I think that Slipknot is a great band. The content of their songs touches the styles of Marilyn Manson. I like their rap metal/nu metal approach. I like their old songs more than their new songs. Have you seen Slipknot perform live?
