They're very easy to gloss over when they all have similar titles. Bit deep into it at this point, but maybe the more old school method of curtailing each brand of MB classics into their own thread and manually counting votes could lead to more engagement.

Hmm. So you're saying one thread, with each album added in as it gets picked? Would that not get a little confusing? And kind of restrict conversation as people would have to keep referring back to the album they were talking about? What a pity you can't nest threads; that would be so helpful.

Who's for this idea then? Compacting all threads into one (can that be done now?) and going from here with just the one thread?

Too many albums to listen to? Albums coming up too fast? Or just a general lack of interest? Maybe all three.

Either way, throwing up three albums a week doesn't seem to be working, so the next album will be posted on Monday, and thereafter on that day each week. Unless anyone prefers me to continue with three a week, but if that's the case, then there needs to be more discussion about them. It's kind of pointless posting album after album, just to see each thread ignored. And I get it, I do. Sometimes it's just way too much hassle and people could not be bothered. I get like that myself. Other than Powerslave, what's the last Metal album here that I actively participated in discussion on? So I'm not saying I'm any better or worse than you. Maybe we just need to slow it all down?

I don't mind taking suggestions for the next album from those left, if anyone's bothered. If not, then I'll just choose it at random.
For me, it's just the sheer volume of albums. I'm putting most of my attention towards the regular Album Club and that whole The Cure thing. I still want to give these metal albums a proper listen, but it doesn't take much of a disruption of your daily life for the various MB album review commitments to fall behind. And then stack up on top of each other.

I'm almost catching up though. Almost.

And I'm voting for that Waltari album

I'm exactly the same. Towards the end I was about three Bowie albums behind, I have yet to listen to any Cure album and I must be three to four behind here. Yeah it's a lot to take in, and add in the Album Club and it can really fill up your week. Maybe it might be time to pull back a little altogether?
Take a break for a while?

If we reviewed the albums chronologically and discouraged referencing older albums, it shouldn't be too difficult to follow.

Honestly I can take it or leave it, but if you were to go with the single thread idea, I'd recommend doing it moving forward since the discussions in the other ones overlap.

There wasn't all that many comments on most of the Bowie albums, despite how there was some interest all the way to the end, so my guess would be that it's just a bit much. Personally, I barely listened to anything but Bowie during those weeks... I don't know what a good balance would be.

Chris hasn't had any albums chosen so I say Celtic Frost - Monotheist.

One of my came up a long while ago and everyone either ignored it or shrugged it off. So I'm almost as far behind.

Yeah but we don't want to do any of your albums.
