My pick for this album club is my favorite thrash album, but to be fair, I haven't heard much recent thrash besides it (and like a few thrash tracks from Trappist's Ancient Brewing Tactics, but they're more of a hardcore band with thrash influences).

Deathstorm's newest is my favorite so far, classic Slayer meets classic Kreator:

We onto the next album, or are we still waiting on some responses?

I was just wondering the same thing. Batty is in charge of this business, so maybe we're waiting for him?

Oh ****, I started listening to the album days ago but got sidetracked and never finished it. Was meh as I recall. Pay me no mind and we'll move on.

Liar - Liar's Hell (2002)

That Liar album is good stuff, I like the thrash/metalcore hybrid sound it has. The first song in particular reminds me of Snapcase with the guitar tone and riffing style. Some of it also sounds like how I wish Kreator would sound these days, instead of the overproduced melodic death metal-esque sound they have now.

Good length too, keeping it at just over a half hour keeps it from getting real monotonous, which I think it would have suffered from if it was any longer.

Solid album, I'll definitely be checking out some of their other stuff at some point.

Glad you liked it. In fact, I found the album by chance at a college radio station. The cover drew me in and the sound of the guitars was excellent - pure energy, pure metal...and....and...
