The riff that launched a decades long career.

Also a game changer.

Might as well throw a FW classic in too.

**** yeah! I really wish the EP this came from was a full album. I think their sound in this period was hands down their best and it only got a very small amount of recorded material. I mean that ****in' riff is off the wall.

He sure does, but it kind of suits him.

I love "Rumors of War". It's just one of those songs I never get tired of.

Not quite as much for opening riffs but I'd take "Fury Whip" and "Death Is This Communion" over "Rumors of War" as more complete songs.

Let's hope that Pike's addictions don't kill him... he had to end a tour last year because of medical complications related to diabetes, which is at least partially caused by alcoholism. He's too rad of a person, he needs to get clean and keep making music.

PS- Agree that "Fury Whip" is HOF's best song, with a ****ing incredible riff.

Actually "Fury Whip" does have a stunningly heavy and violent opening riff.

I like both those songs a lot but I like "Rumors of War" more.

It is a fantastic record that's hard to choose favorites from.
