Gedddy Lee & Neil Peart are absolutly amazing.
Rush is a fantastic band, 2112 is an amazing experience everytime i listen to it, which seems to be all the time.

Rush is one of the most influential bands of all time, in my opinion.

I love Rush. Despite it being corny at times, you can tell they have fun making music. And it's progressive rock with soul. Effort goes into the songwriting. They're all masters at their instruments. And the vocals are an acquired taste .

Well... Great musicians they are... But if we are talking about quality songwriting in prog, they don't compare to Roger Waters, Robert Fripp, Ian Anderson, Peter Gabriel and Peter Hammill. IMO.

And like ELP the lyrics aren't really that important, they just let the music do the talking.

I love Rush, though i think they are a little overrated compared to other lesser known but equally talented prog bands.

Right now, Rush is my fav prog, but I'm really liking Camel.

I like a fair few prog bands. I like Rush, ELP, Yes, Pink Floyd, King Crimson and Genesis. I like some rarer ones like Camel, Atomic Rooster, Goliath, Autumn People, Fuzzy Duck, Egg, Jade Warrior, Art and Gong.

I like some modern prog like Porcupine Tree, LTE and Radiohead. I'm getting into Jethro Tull, more ELO, Hawkwind, Ozric Tentacles and Mars Volta.

There are a lot of unlikely prog fans... Flea, Vincent Gallio, Jack Black and even Johnny Rotten for example.
