Default Warrior Path

These New Wave of Traditional Heavy Metal (NWOTHM) bands continue to deliver. I don't know why I like it so much. I think I just associate it in my mind with the 8-bit adventures I took as a kid. That original Nintendo music was omnipresent in my formative years.

Info stolen from the YT video:

Quote:
Band: Warrior Path
Album: The Mad King
Country: Greece
Label: Stormspell Records; Symmetric Records

Tracklist:

1. It Has Begun 00:00
2. The Mad King 02:50
3. His Wrath Will Fall 07:48
4. Beast Of Hate 11:52
5. Don't Fear The Unknown 16:08
6. Savage Tribe 23:30
7. Avenger 29:46
8. Out From The Shadows 35:52
9. Neverending Fight 40:40
10. Last Tale 45:05

Line-up:

Daniel Heiman - Vocals
Andreas Sinanoglou - Guitars
Bob Katsionis - Guitars, Bass, Keyboards
Dave Rundle - Drums
The vocals here aren't my favorite. A little too Motley Crue, but the riff making and the drums don't sound like they're inside of a tin-can. Overall, I'd give it a 4/10.

Prefered tracks on this album:
It Has Begun
Don't Fear The Unknown
Avenger

They sound a lot like Rhapsody / Rhapsody of fire / Mighty Rhapsody which has been one of my guilty pleasures, although I don't feel too guilty about it.

Power metal is fun didn't know there was a revival happening.

Honestly really glad to hear you say that. **** like Blind Guardian, Dragonforce, and Hammerfall are just so fun to nerd out to.

As for the revival, the kings of it (imo, and many others) are Eternal Champion. Their 2016 album The Armor of Ire was so solid. I highly recommend it.
