After many hours of banging my head against a wall to make a decision, I've picked Page. There are so many riffs and solos of his that i love, i just had to pick him. Hendrix is, obviously, an amazing guitarist, but for me, Page is better.

It hurts me to have to choose but in this case i will choose Hendrix because you have to imagine what he could have done if he were to have been alive longer

I think that even if you take the first album of led zeppelin and say that thats all that page played he would still be bettter than hendrix IMO. I think that if anything his death probly raised him a couple of notches. Just think if page died young and hendrix was still around, everyone would be like yeah jimmy page was the best guitarist of all time and he would be rolling stone magazines #1 pick, not hendrix. Anytime a musician dies, it magically seems to raise them up the ladder all the sudden. Don't get me wrong, hendrix is amazing, but page is better

They both amazing though, don't get me wrong. I just love Hendrix's soul is his guitar playing.

hendrix never had the acoustic songs like page did, and for me, that alone puts him in 2nd place. they are both extroadinary guitarists, and hendrix is the better musician of the two. However, as far as guitarists go, my vote's for page, and its never gonna change.

to me, page is better technically, but hendrix plays with passion
and if you play with passion and feel the music, it always wins out on technical ability

therefore, hendrix gets my vote although page is probably the better of the two technically
