True story

Kiss invited a load of fans down for a video shoot a few years back.In the end they had to employ a load of models from a nearby modelling agency because all the female kiss fans were in their 40s

ya, as I said in the first post of this thread, KISS has become a joke and should hang it up.

but there is no disputing they are one of the biggest bands of the 1970s.

anyone disputing that is simply an idiot.

You still don't answer the question. Are you having trouble Shadow? Do you think no one notices that you are avoiding the question? Everyone, stop asking him other things, and ask him why the material that the stones put out in the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 00s doesn't count. And why they are restricted to being a 60s band. If we all ask him the same question, then he will have no choice but to answer it, or to stop posting.

Why are the stones considered a 60s band?

False. Bands have played there in the past. Phil Collins played a few years....wait, Phil Collins played the same place as KISS, doesnt that mean he's reached a similar peak? I mean, according to your logic....

well, I'll give you my opinion.

They are a 60s band to me because that is when they actually played on their own records, rather than hiring session guys to play on the albums, and then hiring 15 back up players to go on tour with them.

While it is true their career spans decades, the 60s is really PURE STONES. im not saying post 60s Stones 'doesnt count' I'm saying that the 60s Stones is DEFINATIVE stones, not some disco album from 1978 that session players are doing the work on.

Phil Collins ain't a rock band by any stretch of the imagination. Jimmy Page once said that playing with Phil Collins on drums at 1985 Live Aid was the worst onstage experience of his career.
