Check out a Boston 60's and 70's hometown band for a great live album: J. Geils Band "Full House". Although critics have trashed the Stones "Get Yer Ya Ya's Out" it has always been one of my favorites. The person that listed Neil Young's Live at Massey Hall definitely knows what they are talking about! Townes Van Zandt had a few great live albums,too.

Live Rust is definite must listen.

Frampton Comes Alive, anyone? lulz

I know their "Showtime" Album which was as released ten years later in 1982. The J Geils band always had a reputation as being a great live band anyway.

My experience of Pete Frampton is based on his work with Humble Pie and that's the only solo album of his I actually like.

Deep Purple-Made in Japan tops it for me. Great band, great album. My dad listens to it non-stop.

Whoa, I didn't think there was anyone who didn't know about Frampton Comes Alive. Maybe it's just a U.S. thing, but it's probably the most famous live album ever recorded.

Peter was a lot better in Humble Pie, imho, though.
