The Rat closed down about 15 years ago to build a luxury hotel. It was sad because the Rat was a landmark Boston club that debuted such great artists as the Cars, Mission of Burma and Aimee Mann. I still have a picture of my ex-girlfriend that I took in front of the Rat way back in 1980.

You came state-side for a show?

Also, you still with her?

No I'm American. I'm no longer with her and haven't seen her for a couple decades.

I'd say 'Ghost In The Machine' is the best Police album. And the first album of theirs that I heard. A timeless classic! It was also my third concert ever, the 'Synchronicity' tour ( Sept. 1983) when I was 13.

These guys were one of the best UK bands to ever play CBGBs.

1978.
