Well, at least he hasn't sold it. He let a family friend of ours borrow it but who knows when he will get it back. I might as well just dl the albums myself.

Thought I would do some thread revival here, I love Jimi as well, one of the best guitarists of all time. And did you ever get that CD back Chameleon?

I do not know if I have a favorite by him...

But however I do wanna say:

Man, this thread is old. Someone in 2004 predicted that Jack White would be huge, that was a great prediction. Although I think he was already pretty big in 04

I completely agree with BastardofYoung up there on that Voodoo Chile > Voodoo Child. My favorite album would have to be Blues. Though not nearly as popular as are we experienced, or an of his other albums for that matter, I really like Jimi's older music as he gets into the blues genera, and a smidget of jazz.

Jimi Hendrix has his own distinct sound and I don't think there is a song by him that I don't like.

I recently bought a copy of Electric Ladyland at my local record store at a sale. I need a new record needle though so I must wait...

Are You Experienced is awesome though so I look forward to listening to more Hendrix. He seems like a very cool guy to say the least.

I'd go as far to say that Electric Ladyland is probably the finest double album ever released, but it needs several listens to really digest it.
