If an album does'nt grab me on the first listen I will probably not play it again.
I do burn the songs I like (if there are any) though.

And that's really sad, but...such is life in this "ADD/instant gratification/I need more/next" world.

Many of the albums that have meant the most to me in my life have taken time to click. And even some that clicked right away get better with time. Now there are things that I'll pass on after one listen, if I really hate it or if it was a recommendation and it really missed the mark. But if I'm at least somewhat interested in it or if it's something I discovered on my own, I'll put more effort into it.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

^ I even don't like the music the first time i hear them, which turn out to be the highlight of my knowledge.

-I remember getting annoyed the first time I heard "I Am the Walrus", and "we're only in it for the money" started a massive headache.

But that wasn't the case for The Zombies anyway, I stumbled upon them by accident:
I was watching "Shanghai Knights" [not a quality movie], and during the pillow fight dream scene, they were playing "Time of the season" ... I googled the lyrics that evening, and downloaded 15 of their songs the same day. Which all btw catched me right away, that was the day I was introduced to the 60s music.

I feel it's a sin to cut-up an album.

Just the way I roll, I guess. Much of what I hear I can practically tell what notes are going to be played next, even if I have never heard the song before. That is what is sad.

Beechwood Park is my favourite song off O & O can't go past Time of the Season of course..

Quite a decent album. I only started listening to them because of their appearance on one of those late night timeshare "Sounds of the 60s" 2 hour infomercials with Peter Fonda and some other slag.

Well, (for me) there are not too many albums that I think are "sacred" enough, or conceptual, that I would not just take what songs I like from them. It's not an "all or nothing" thing for me. I don't have the time to listen to what I consider to be "filler" on albums.

^ yeah i know, it's not "sacred" or anything, I just listen to an album like I watch a movie. From the beginning to the end. I feel there's a certain evolution in any album, an opening track, a closing track, and a climax in some part. but that's just me, I'm not a compilation person.
