I don't really like either but i would have to say Led Zeppelin

jibber 01-20-2005 10:31 PM

I'm not sure how you can compare the two, they're from different eras of music, and their styles are completely different.

iceplayer744 01-21-2005 05:53 PM

the Beatles were good. they played god music but id have to say i like the rock n' roll of Led Zeppelin better. Actually, Led Zep was freakin awesome

Beckmn 01-23-2005 09:24 AM

led zep is the best frickin band ever. they rocked hard, unlike the beatles. And you cant compare anyone to Jimmy Page

xX-ImSoNotEmo-Xx 01-23-2005 03:11 PM

Led Zepplin for teh win, the r the better band imo.

hazyshadeofwinter 01-24-2005 05:17 PM

I 100% LOVE the Beatles, but only like, 75% love Led Zeppelin....

They're both GREAT bands....

Porkinson 01-25-2005 05:03 AM

its gotta be zeplin i just love them

All_Nite_Dinah 01-25-2005 06:28 AM

The Beatles. I think its a more generational thing. Lots of older people will say the beatles while most younger will say Lec Zeppelin becvause theres a sort of classic rock revival thing going on right now. Its easy to write off the Beatles as just some group that the media hyped up but you still have to look at what they did. They absolutly came from no where and stunned everyone who ever heard them. No matter who you are I can almost garuntee everyone likes at least one beatles song. As opposed to Zepplin who many people have never heard at all. And for good reason they just arnt as good a band as the beatles were. The beatles put out hit after hit after hit for longer than most bands are even around. They went everywhere met everyone and did it all. But I also agree that this is kind of an irelevent poll because they were from diferent times and played different styles of rock and roll. I think a more interesting poll would be Pink Floyd vs. Led Zepplin.

punkchikluvsmusic 01-25-2005 06:56 AM

Led Zeppelin is English too.

my brother 777 06-11-2006 11:21 AM

I like them both equall but i listen to the beatles more then led zepplin

Laces Out Dan! 06-11-2006 11:46 AM

I listen to Zeppelin more often

Raine 06-11-2006 02:42 PM

I chose the Beatle ebcause I find that they're more versatile than Led Zepplin which will always be classified as rock.

Peace

The Beatles need to come back and whipe the floor clean with Robert Plant's mop-like hair. They don't even compare. Lyrically, Th Beatles **** all over Led Zeppelin (though that isn't saying much). The Beatles are just more captivating.

The Everlasting Gaze 06-11-2006 07:50 PM

I am a big fan of both. Led Zeppelin was good from the beginning. But with The Beatles they didn't start to get good until Bob Dylan showed them drugs. Then after that they got really good!!! Both bands are really good, and I don't think I can pick either one of them being better then the other.

swim 06-11-2006 07:52 PM

I think someone should give a thesaurus, that would be a swell gift.

I pick Beatles. They were more influential, they're catchier, and I'd reach for a beatle album before I'd reach zeppelin.

I agree, this poll is embarassing me.

Stop being assholes, it's a damn preference poll, who cares who wins?

Indeed. I like both bands but prefer Led Zeppelin by far, and if someone has a problem with that, they can go in the corner and cry about it.

boo boo 06-12-2006 04:42 AM

I voted for the third option, because they're my two favorite bands after Floyd and i refuse to pick just one.

Wow. I thought you would have liked King Crimson or Yes more than Led Zep.

Even though I've only got 4 King Crimson albums, I like them enough for KC to be in my top 10 rock bands - but I do prefer Led Zep.

boo boo 06-12-2006 05:46 AM

No not really, Led Zeppelin are more accessible than both for me, they can rock harder but do ballads just as well, and they are nearly just as instrumentally talented, well KC and Yes are more technically skilled, but still, to listen to KC and Yes, you have to be in the mood, and i have just been in that mood for a good while, Zepplin however, i can listen to them any time i want, i don't have to be in the mood to listen to them, their music automatically takes me there.... They were one of the main bands that got me into rock music... Right now i'm just listening to different bands, but eventually i'll actually import my Zep albums onto my comp and be all over them again, like many times before, as of now, i just listen to them on a CD player, i prefer it that way, the bass is more audible and improves the listening experience for any Zep fan, as of now i mostly listen to what i have on my comp, though i really do need to import the rest of my music.

Yeah, that's kind of like how I feel about Led Zep.

I'm not calling them progressive or anything, but it is interesting how their sound has changed from the really bluesy rock of I to the modernish sounding stuff of In Through the Out Door. Led Zep really does have a nice range of music.

Led Zeppelin, The Beatles are way to poppy sounding. Led Zeppelin are darker, and easy to listen to.

bungalow 06-12-2006 08:47 PM

Obviously you have only listened to a grand total of maybe 10 Beatles songs.

If you're only going to listen to the Beatles' popular songs, then they'll definitely appear poppy. The Beatles have a lot of decent music once you look past the poppy stuff (which isn't too bad considering its pop).

I used to be the biggest beatles fan ever.. (maybe not ever but damn well close) either way i'm pretty damn sure i've heard all of there songs.. and I enjoy the beatles greatley.. but i was just saying compared to most of Zeppelins stuff they clearly have more of a pop sound.

It's pretty much inpossible for anyone to not have heard more than 10 Beatles songs.

hiu 06-13-2006 03:31 AM

Both are fairly even, in terms of me generally disliking both bands. Both have some good qualities, I enjoy some of the Beatles basslines while Led Zeppelin has that nod to blues music that made me tingle inside. In the end though both were boring bands who did not deserve the popularity they have today.

blackTshirt 06-14-2006 12:44 PM

in your opinion

Music Is Pwnage 06-14-2006 01:44 PM

I don't like the Beatles, not sure why, I just can't listen to them. Led Zeppelin is great though. Neither are favorites.

motley_crue131 06-14-2006 02:11 PM

i HATE them both

As your name suggests you probably hate any band with some remote sign of talent, eh?

Nicky Sixx called R.E.M. the worst band ever, now tell me that isn't pure comedy gold.

If it was around the time that they put out Shiny Happy People he had a bloody good point.

cardboard adolescent 06-14-2006 04:12 PM

Aww man I like that song. Too upbeat and happy for you, aye?!

Urban Hat€monger ? 06-14-2006 04:23 PM

I would have got into them at least 4 years earlier had it not been for that song.

Hehe well I grew up with REM so I kind of take them for granted.

He won't understand the insult, you have to talk in very simple terms for him.
