I wanted to tear my teeth out. I didn't know what I wanted to do. And I want to remember it. I never want to forget it. I never want to forget. And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that.

Destroyer sucks.

I pretty much only listen to bootlegs now. I like them so much they make the studio versions of songs seem bland by comparison.

Any Tea for One fans here?

I'm pretty sure Urban Hatemonger is. Ask him.

Yeah it`s odd with me & Led Zep

I seem to like the albums most people hate (Presence & III) and hate the ones everybody loves (I , II & IV)

Well 2 of those are leftovers albums & the other 2 are pretty lightweight.

I just think for the talent they had in the band they could have been better. John Paul Jones is a fantastic arranger yet they hardly ever used him. They seemed to be more about macho posturing & muscle rather than invention and that my biggest problem with them.

Maybe in '73, '75, and '77, but they were all about the music from '68-'72. Best live band ever during that time period. I know I'm going out on a limb by saying that, but listen to 5 bootlegs each year from '69-'72 and tell me they weren't an incredible live band.

Anyways, are you saying Physical Graffiti is a leftovers album? Even if it is, it doesn't mean it may be their best album. Besides the big songs on there, I can't think of any weak songs it has (besides maybe Sick Again and Black Country Woman, both of which are great live).

And why weren't there any posts in this thread in over a year?

I and II tie for me. I love the dirty blusey-ness in their first two albums. It was mind-blowing to hear those two albums for the first time. I had no idea what to make of it except that it was awesome.

I'll also give props to the BBC Sessions. Live Zeppelin = Great Zeppelin.

DDD's SanTropez?

Urban, who dosen't like Zeppelin III?

It's one of the less popular Zep albums, but the most diehard of Zepheads tend to think very highly of it.

II
I
IV
PG
HOTH
III
Presence

ITTOD

Thats how it goes for me.
