Default A Collection of my Rap Songs...

I was into rapping for about a 4 month period of time, and I randomely got a message from some old boards I used to post on - I forgot I had written these... so here they are! My rapping names were "Absinthe" and "Philosophy C"

Quote:
Live One Life - Absinthe
Live one life. One life to live. To live one life, not much to give
Give that love, give that respect, give your human brothers a smile
Cuz we all go through it, we all got that trek - to the stars, but this isn’t Star Trek
We have this one journey, then it’s just dark for awhile.
By awhile I mean forever, not never, not one more endeavor, by forever I mean- done.
That means - No more sun, no more fun, but the dead see the end of guns, n runnin’
I know it stunning’, bein’ dead, that eternal sleep is the best peace we got!
No sounds in the night, no fight or flight, just silence, for it’s in the ground that we rot.
In death, there is no prejudice - everybody dies and decays,
Every body of every color and creed sees the end of their days-
The worms have no eyes, and they’ll eat your remains,
Right through your colorless skulls, right through your colorless brains.
One thing does remain, and that’s the memory of your being-
That’s the one thing people will be seein’
Long after you’re gone, long after you become the dirt-
So make it worthwhile - one life to live, so make it count….
One life to live - live one life. Not much to give-
Just end this strife, don’t be holdin’ your fellow man under the knife,
The knife or the gun, you’re killin’ someone’s son.
Make haste, my kinsman, haste in the waste of hate,
The anger will never end at this rate, a ratio of death divided by death
Is not what we want to be thinking about with our last breath.
Instead, keep in mind the love, because push doesn’t have to come to shove-
Shrug it off with a smile, you still got a while. Don’t write your eternity,
With another brother’s blood.
So live one life, one life to live, to live one life, not much to give…
So live one life, one life to live, to live one life, not much to give… (x2)
Quote:
Tragedy and Malady - Absinthe
I’m in the one place the long-red-right hand of to law can’t reach,
Barricaded in the inner sanctum, free of struggle - no leash.
The violence committed here would make Gacy cry
In here, the violence is me on me crime.
Self abusive, I’m allowin’ you to be intrusive,
Look and listen- when you’re leavin; Think not-
To pity me, but read; In conclusion? The story here-
Is inconclusive. You see what I’m tryin’ to say-
Wait, tryin’? I’d be lyin’ if I didn’t say I’m cryin’ out to you,
I’d be lyin’ if I said, I wasn’t dyin’ without you.
What I’m describing’ with the eloquence of a town crier-
My mind; that sacred sanctuary, E Spiritu Sanctus (Amen)
Is in a state of chaos, war zone, I against I, guerilla like (Ho Chi Min)
Now, when I let you in, wipe your feet,
Sit silent and still, I need you to be discreet.
For the things you are about to see may make you ill, (sick)
The pictures in my head are unrated, un belated, (quick)

What you’re seein’ is uncut; not glam glitter, but-
Dagger draggin, slipknot noose, trigger tuggin’,
Figure grubbin’, bloody knuckle, scared shuffle,
Poisoned and potent, low life to death quotient.

My mind’s suicide lingers fresh, cadaver caviar,
Leavin’ my body; just a hollowed shell.
This is where you step in, teachin’ my soul,
To shun the ways that lead men to this hell. (fire, fire)
The picture show is over, the screen is black, (lack of life’s desire)
I see the tears on your cheek, do you feel molested?
Were your wills tested, your nightmares bested
By the thoughts in my head? The things I see when I unrest in bed?
Now you know why I thrash around, it’s that frantic sound;
My nails get stuck in the wall, and I look like death,
In the morn, I’m curled in that ball, and why I’m outta breath.
My position is fetal because my thoughts are fatal-
I’m losing my battle, the cadence is fast, I want you to stay til’;
The big hand is on the twelve, and the little is on eternity,
Leaving me would not only be damning, but condemning me-
Lash me, rack me to the wracking pain, the whipping rain;
Do you see what I’m seeing now? My own hell - my fears? (look and quake)
Let me let you in on the new film on the reel, eyes open, dear… (listen and shake)

What you’re seein’ is uncut, not sequins and shine, but-
My ensanguined spine, bent; ravished out of posture-
This is it, the Inferno. Dante knew and know I know.
Thrown out of Paradisio, smitten (smite) by the mittens (might) of God.

Ok girl, that’s enough!
The visuals are getting’ rough even for me!
I feel my nerves are shot, I feel my heart is stopped-
My left ventricle thinks it’s on the right, and that’s not right
Because my right thinks he’s lost his rights to pump blood,
Lost his rights for good, and if he stops
I stop, My life stomped. Reality cropped, coffin view.
So I’m asking you,
Think of me when you hear my pleas,
In your dreams hear my screams - I know that you love me.
So save me. Don’t abhor me. I’m your tragic Shakespearean hero,
I’m the apple of your eye, the blush in your cheek.
So to save me, you save yourself so to speak.
Be with me. I’ll be with thee, and I’m down on my…
These are my knees. This is my hand, and in this ribcage-
My erratic heart, my inactive part, It needs an electric start.
Be my shock. My message from God. My divining rod.
Save me.

Quote:
The Story of Former Glory - Absinthe
A ream of white cream paper, and a word’s disguises//
Are steamed - while dream’s taper into dark horizons//
Letters initialed by officials offer little relief//
Betters initiate use of missiles to aid foreign grief//
Trauma on unknown soil- priorities please!//
Drama smothers citizens toils, filthiest knees!//

My taxes pay for war, toting claims of weapons hidden//
The new Axis pray for more! Gloating with hate unbidden//
Meanwhile, assured students are missing academic insurance//
While the homeless die in heaps, a now common occurrence//
They sweep cadavers from the streets, requiring inhuman endurance//

I ask, “Homeless in the land of the free?” Can it be?//
Staten Island’s Liberty promised something else to you and me!//
Our tired, our poor, our huddled masses thrown to the gutters!//
In direst scores, the bundled asses stare - our country shudders!//
Yet we turn our heads and ignore the problems like before-//
If they close their eyes and ears they can still celebrate on July 4-//
And when the cries slow. Our wretched refuse from teeming shores,//

Wave that flag- royal in droves - those honorable stripes and stars.//
Load that mag- the recoil echoes- that everlasting pain of scars//
Do we pay tribute in action to those fallen heroes of the past?//
Dishonoring their names when an amount of money is passed?//
Does that flag still wave in the land of the free, home of the brave?//
Is it raised near the grave of the man who freed the last slaves?//
When agencies don’t supply and citizens must die, because they are denied!//
This causing demise in people forgotten by their country’s eyes!//
It’s not right and insight is no view of a light, so we’ll just fight on!//
We’ll ride on until the tunnel ends and the future begins.
Quote:
I Speak of Revolution - Absinthe
Beneath the stage is a ragin' fire,
Underneath the ground, red desire.
Its the heat that keeps me discreet,
Because I'm just too hot.
And if you think I'm not. (You're wrong)
If you still disagree (So long)
I'm not about to sit and debate,
Not gonna procrastinate,
And at a later date, I'll show you
I'm everything you want-
And a little bit more!
So instead of this session
Of argue and digression,
I imagine the repression
Of your feelings, is messin'
Up your affinity for leasure,
It would be my greatest pleasure
And without desperature measures
To see you smile, and after awhile...
I'll reveal the reason I'm so versatile.
So, little darlin', watch these eyes
And I'll surmise, why the wealthy and wise-
Lead the rise of chivalric demise.
No more knights in shining, are more
Than flights in black, stealth armor.

Displeased that this thing called love,
Is something lovers have been bereft of,
Passion in the soul, only a hole,
measured by calendar rhythmatic birth control...
We are livin' in a controlled world, a non life-
The Matrix wasn't far off, live under the knife.
The scrutiny of omnipotent governments,
But love lives under glass in various tints
A rose coloured hue, to fool me and you,
But real love was lost a little after Bobby Frost,
But baby, lucky for you, you ran into the general
Head of the cause, Philosophy "you know Who"
I lead the love Revolution, Viva La!
Now that you know, Hear me Now!
Love doesn't exist in your bars and taverns
The act exists in underground caverns,
I wear this patch and this beret
An homage to an old fella named Che-
And now that you know, we better go.
Agents of evil, watchin' me from corners fo',
That's what we get for lovin, hon
Always on the go, always on the run.
So hold on tight, look below and -
You'll see that red light,
Beneath the stage is a ragin' fire,
Underneath the ground is red desire.
Trap door. 1, 2, 3.
Disappear.

These are here for you to read, I do not think I'm a good rap lyricist at all - but it's something to read - the song writing forum hasn't been too active lately, much to my dismay.

Default My Body, My Life, My Soul

Poetry first. Lyrics second. I hope you enjoy.

My Body, My Life, My Soul

When there comes a time
for the loss of eyes,
pluck mine from my face.
They will see nothing short of,
a whispering beauty.
My body is your bounty.

Should there be a time,
for the loss of hands,
sever mine from my wrists.
They will show the callouses,
of a blistering devotion.
My body is your harvest.

Upon arrival of the time,
for the loss of lips,
peel them from my jaw.
They will speak one last tale,
of a love held sacred.
My body is your story.

Waiting for the time,
for the loss of hearts,
grasp mine tenderly from my chest.
It will beat for you still.
My body is your chamber.

In good time.
Our souls shall ascend.
And forever til then.
Keep close my spirit.

Default Saint Sophia's Infirmary

Saint Sophia's Infirmary

This cot may be my final resting place.
Everytime I close my eyes, I see the light,
Then I hear the cries next to me,
Yeah, we got another one, Doc.
I know that I got holes all over,
But what really hurts is my ears,
What really stings is my eyes,
This place really is quite a sight...
And I swear that my insides aren't workin' quite right.

Chorus
Have you been to Saint Sophia's?
What once was white will surely turn red,
What once was live will surely be dead.
Have you been to Saint Sophia's?

Oh yeah, stitch me up and save my blood,
I'll need it for the journey back home.
I'm leavin' these crying men behind,
But I'm keepin' these dying soldiers in my mind.
Pull these bullets from my body,
I gotta look nice for Mama when I step off that plane.
Well I guess you can't reach em all,
And that's just fine cause I'll have a story to tell,
Not like the fellas already in Hell.

Chorus

Now that you say so, I feel pretty good.
Chompin' down on this leather bit,
Sure it keeps me from screaming loud,
While the surgeon like a seamstress,
Sows me up nice with a pretty pattern.
I close my eyes as he finishes up my back,
These holes will whistle in the wind,
They'll harmonize sweetly like a violin.
Now it's just my time to get back home.

Have you been to Saint Sophia's?
Have you been to Saint Sophia's?
No, no, you're not a ghost.
I said no, no...
You're not a ghost.

Default "Holy Man"

In Regard to the Holy Man of the Holy Land and his Recent Departure

My brothers well we journey to the Holy Land,
And our only stop will be to see a Holy Man,
He will tell us things you won't understand.
Why we wear smiles on our faces and,
Why we laugh so everyone can hear us and,
Why the only joke we get is our own beliefs.
Carry on my brothers turn on your mothers.
Tell your fathers it's their love that smothers.
Why, oh why, does this Holy Man wear white?
It's these stains that show us divine right.
Our mistakes are the filter for good,
These actions are acts in futility,
He tells us that in the end, we all add to the earth's Fertility.

Holy Man don't tell us no lies,
He sits us down and we look at the sky,
No this Holy Man don't tell us no lies,
He pulls our hearts and liberates our eyes.

This Holy Man with a venerable beard,
Tells us the truths of the things we have feared.
Now I'm not sure where you grew up,
What you were told to do and how to live,
But this Holy Man holds the secrets in his,
Endless robe that flows and flows in endless droves.
Everytime he moves a secret slips through the slits,
And we learn more with every breath he takes.
He points at us, this aged man and his,
Joints crack, and while he winces he lets us know,
That his pain is not for nought and we ought to,
Be glad that he can even move his lips,
To tell us the err of our ways and before he goes,
He must teach us how to live the rest of our days.

Chorus

Oh Holy Man don't go,
There is so much more I need to know!
Oh Holy Man don't go,
Oh Holy Man don't go,
Oh Holy man don't go.
Oh Holy Man...
You're gone.

Be very carful not to make a woman cry because God counts her tears. The woman came out of a man's rib. Not from his feet to be walked on. Not from his head to be superior. But from the side to be equal. Under the arm to be protected and next to the heart to be loved.
