I find it hard to believe he is 'covered' in unfinished tattoos.

You have to pay for a full tattoo before you get one, and wouldn't you finish your previous tattoos before starting another one?

The longest I ever spent in the chair was 5 hours, my skin got raw, so I came back the next day to finish it. You have to pay for the whole thing, not just half the work. Care to explain how he is covered in all of these unfinished tattoos? It just doesn't seem logical...

he has like 6 or 7 BIG tattoo's and not one of them is finished.. he gets bored with one.. or runs out of money then by the time he gets money he has a new idea for a tattoo.. and starts something else.. anyways.. its true.. and its funny he looks like a kids coloring book, kids just get bored and go on to the next page..

I'm going to agree with Black Jack when he called you ignorant APS. Or at least that comment came out of ignorance. How much of the White Stripes have you heard? Did you make that judgement from just hearing Seven Nation Army? The Stripes are a minimalist rock and blues group. They turn a hard approach to music into art, and their concerts are amazing. Been to 8 myself.

And do you really think the Wallflowers are better than Bob Dylan? Honestly? I hope it was a joke. I mean people can have opinions on whether or not people are overrated or nor, sure. But Bob Dylan is better than the Wallflowers and all of their ****e music. It's a fact. Not an opinion a FACT. And how can you talk about spastic voices? Judging by the few bands on your fav. music list, thats a noise you've come to enjoy. It seems to me, you're one of those people who'll disagree with a common opinion just because you can, and to show you're different - which is really cool and original by the way, nobody else does that... you're the first. Congrats. You are super unique. Now that you know you're unique, why don't you go listen to some cursive, the arcade fire and bright eyes. Continue being scene, ok?

I want you to talk to someone who really knows music and tell them that the Wallflowers are better than Bob Dylan. Watch them slap you in the face, for being an ignorant upstart.

I don't think Elephant was a Hard Rock album, honestly. Some of the songs were harder, but I don't think it really matches up with some of the harder bands of 04.

APS I was kinda hard on you here my bad, but seriously, Wallflowers over Dylan? Don't be dumb.

/\ Oh I love this guy. Bravatsie to you sir, I hope you stay, but APS is representing about 50% of the opinions here. Not on the WS, but just ignorant little kids who don't want "their" bands maligned by some other band with talent.

The sniveling teen bitches run rampant here.

And by the way I don't care if you don't like Dylan, The White Stripes, or any other band for that matter. You don't go about saying you don't like them like he did, especially when he didn't post anything on topic, or progress this discussion in the least bit.

For the record, I think Saddle Creek is the most contrived record label in the world, other than Victory. Good job hitting the nail on the head guys. In fact, great job not having any clue what music I listen to. When you turn posting on forums over the internet into trying to pinpoint someone's personality using personal attacks (Crowe/TheBig3), you can end up looking like a pretentious moron. The fact is, I don't care if you take the internet seriously, because it isn't a representation of real life. I find the White Stripes to be a dull band that use very little ingenuity when creating songs. I have in fact listened to the whole Elephant album and can't say I was impressed at all. As for staying on topic, I'll move back to it. In my opinion, three people really stand out to me for their efforts in songwriting over the past few years. These are Drew and Kathy of CTTS and Sam Beam of Iron and Wine are brilliant songwriters and lyricists. I also have to give it up to Omar and Cedric in The Mars Volta. Not so much for Frances the Mutes, but Deloused In the Comatorium was amazing. The other band the formed in the aftermath of the ATDI break-up, Sparta, showed brilliance when they released the album Porcelain.

I love Conor Oberst's lyrics.
He always reminds me of Dylan.
His voice is so _______.
I can't think of a word.

But yeah, I love Conor Oberst's lyrics.

Letting Off The Happiness and Fevers and Mirrors were probably his strongest efforts. Prior to that he sucked, and after that Lifted marked his downfall into trite mediocrity with the coming of the two new albums.

I like Letting Off The Happiness, Fevers And Mirrors, and Digital Ash/Wide Awake.

I think that all of them are brilliant albums.
But whenever you get someone who has been a fan from the beginning, the new stuff almost always disaapoints.
I think that that is pretty unfair to the artist.
I'm Wide Awake Its Morning has some great songs on it, as does Digital Ash. And nobody will ever deny the greatness of Fevers and Mirrors

The two new albums are trash, and make me ashamed to wear the Bright Eyes shirt I received as a gift, because people always name drop them, and I'm like "Yeah my favorite song is No Lies, Just Love."

The usual response is like "Is that on the light one or the dark one?"
