I'm having trouble.. (bass, myspace, band, songs)

Theres my band.

Notice in our music, that the singing follows the rhythm?
I want to get away from that, but i'm a bass player so ryhthm is in my playing..

I think maybe if I wrote my songs differently?
Like.. which way do people usually write them?
I'm trying to get a feel for it, tips?
