It is not my usual material but I want a Christmas song you see.
I suppose without the music it doesn't give off the idea but tell me what you think.

NO! It is NOT christmas time!

yes genius but to get it in the shops by christmas you need to write before christmas.
for example, toys made for christmas and chocs and cards are actually made before christmas.
This elementary process of marketing is far to detailed for me to teach to you here and now.
Did you know slades christmas song was written in a hot new york summer and was intended as another song till they got the idea.
Christmas songs are made before christmas to ensure all the media and marketing is done to be ready for the festive season.
But what do you think of my lyrics?

I am obviously not in the same business mindset.
I think you need to jazz it up a bit. It reads like a christmas carol and that won't appeal to the kids.

Although the christmas music that accomanies it will I think.
I feel a bit like I am selling my genius for cash by letting Cliff record it but at least it gives me some money to write my more punk orientated stuff.
I will put up one of my own bands lyrics soon.
They are called Nathan and the Ballbusters.

Do you like that?

Well to each their own, but it personally doesn't do it for me, sorry. It just lacks substance, emotion. Concentrates too much on a rhyme (rhyme and flow are different), and not enough on a good story, IMO.

I got great inspiration from reading Papillon. Such a great story of hope and spirit.
Not that I have ever been inside but one thing I have experienced in my life is a great begrudging of many people who seem to want to stand in other people's way, run them down, yet never do anything themselves just snoop and bad mouth those out on a limb.
Snipers is what they are I suppose.
My thinking is that they want the same things just that they don't have the backbone to get those things.
In my opinion if you don't have the backbone you shouldn't snipe but that is life.
I once had and experience where someone tried to make a fool of me simply because he was a moron. I wouldn't let it drop and people were like "leave it be" but to my mind at that very point he decided to, or not to, try to make a fool of me, he made the choice to bring problems to my life to get a kick for himself.
All I then wanted was a complete apology or explanation and all I got was excuses and lies and cowardly actions and the more I dug the more cowardly the actions were.
That was my feeling about that song.
Because I feel great pity for those who are weaker them myself who get bullied by those types and can never respond like I am able to.
It was also about my woman and how her family don't like me at all.

O boy. And i thought you just wrote it out of the blue.

But I was thinking of people like that as I wrote.
I also write upbeat stuff.
I'll post one after I have sorted out a few things and walked the dog.

One question... how much do you write? Is it several pieces a day or are you posting older stuff all at once?

I write when I feel like it like I do everything I feel like when I feel like it.
Why?

Punk and Cliff Richard in the same paragraph is just plain wrong.

Would you stop posting sh*tty lyrics and claiming to "shop them around" to record companies. You lyrics suck and you are an ass.

Where are your lyrics?
You think you are a wrestler like a 5 year old kid?

My lyrics are good.
I make comic lyrics and write song serious songs which sound good with guitar.
You, on the other hand, take yourself seriously and love wrestling..........I make myself an ass for fun......you simply are one but I know what I'm doing .....you are just a simple ass.

Well you're cool... just asking, because it seems like, you post a lot in here, and to me, respectively, it just seems like all your stuff has respectable grounds, but lacks a story, or substance, if you will. Man, I love commas... anyhow. What I do is stay with one piece for a while and develop it.

No, if cliff sang it it would be but don't you laugh at cliffs christmas songs?
I am assuming if you have any nouce you do.
But what people make of the same thing is their choice.
For example if I hear whams club cococabana on holiday I piss myself as it is so stupidly and saccarine and funny but there are people who probably love pop idol who would love the song as a serious song.
