Default Some Poetry

denial of departure(dies irae)

she is a ringing bell in a cardboard castle dream
of jewel encrusted crowns and people magazine
she is beautiful and lovely she is my gypsy queen
intelligent vivacious sizzling caring
she loves me a great mystery dont deserve her not me
enchanted by her emerald gaze
the light beams struck me
ultra violet rays
emerald eyes and emerald tears
why an epitaph we are healthy we have years
a will what are you talking about why is everyone blue
you girly girly goo perform a mind coup
an ocean deluge know not what to do
1 1 = 1 logic be damned stop talking to me
we scaled the branches to the apex of a willow
it wept no more in the scintillating glow
of our 1 1 = 1 love the whole world will know
everyone is crazy
she isnt gone
she cant be gone
we just talked the day before
we are in love

we will spend eternity together
two lost souls clinging
drifting through the wasteland
forever

The Lost

Copper coin that’s too much been tossed,
we are the lost.
Traversing the wasteland dreamscape
the prodigal spawn riding a cresting wave
about to break on a sandy white coast.

Rocking to and fro to the synthetic beat of the motherland,
now perverse and diluted,
once again slaves and prostituted
with invisible whips pleasing to the touch.

Smile and cheer as it all falls down
as the circus pulls in,
as it all falls down.

Praised be the silent revolution,
for that is what we are.
Praised be the echo
it travels on a straight arrow path through time.

We are the faceless ones.
The ones who start again.
The ones who scream and turn the wheel.
The ones who swim the ocean looking for a drift.

Footsteps echo in a hollowed hall
as ghosts remember the flashing lights.
The angelic, glowing overhead beams
bursting forth
expanding skin on denim seams.
The halo will soon fade, the dream is over.

A rattling dynamo exploding in the night sky
comes plummeting down, down
to the ground, where the dogs will feed.
Sinew rotted and tossed aside.

I travel these twin streets of
vibration and
stasis.

Thumbs up

Did you write "The Lost" in a 'beatnik w/bongos' kind of style? If that wasn't on purpose, it's amazing, because i swear i could hear them! lol

Ewwwwwwww!!! It gave me goose bumps, especially that one line:

'with invisible whips pleasing to the touch'

It's dark and creepy, that's for sure!

yeah, bongos and some sort of high pitched like chime or bell or A PIECE OF METAL you find somewhere that makes a sort of nice sound, but is off, just a little.

i want to concentrate on the first one for a bit more before saying anything about it.
