Lightbulb **This Time** By Monica Robson

This Time

I didn't know what I want
On the very first day of this life
I didnt know what could be
Way back then.

I always thought that I
Was shining so bright in your eyes
But I guess I was falling, fading fast
That's no surprise!

[Chorus]
I know you owe me this much
When you torture and tangle up my pride
You think you're something special
But you pushed and tugged me aside.
Can't remember what you said
From two years back.. this time.

Thinking nothing of it
But you obviously had something on your mind
I had to find out the hard way
Again, no surprise!

[Chorus]
I know you owe me this much
When you torture and tangle up my pride
You think you're something special
But you pushed and tugged me aside.
Can't remember what you said
From two years back.. this time.

[Bridge]
Have you thought it through?
Made your decision?
Doesn't really matter this time
'Cause I already made up mine. Ha-ha!

[Chorus]
I know you owe me this much
When you torture and tangle up my pride
You think you're something special
But you pushed and tugged me aside.
Can't remember what you said
From two years back.. this time.

The lyrics are decent...I think skimming the lines back would give it a bit better flow.

"on the very first day of this life" could be "on the very first day"
"I didn't know what I want" could be "didn't know what I wanted"

"I always thought that I
Was shining so bright in your eyes"

"Thinking nothing of it
But you obviously had something on your mind"

I don't know how you sing it but I think it might sound less clunky if you get rid of some unecessary words.

Yep, I agree about skimming the lines. Although with just the right meter, squeezing in a longer line now and then can sound really nice. Wish I could hear the music.

Do you have music to this yet? I really like this song. It's got a nice flow and put together with a good tune, could go places.
