I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

Your work deserves more attention, this is a very cool track, so dynamic with motifs that jump in and out of the song in new and interesting ways, but it never lingers for too long on any one idea. Exemplary stuff

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

As I’ve posted about before elsewhere on MB, I still love to play Guitar Hero and do it all the time. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of it

So I recently decided I wanted to start working on a unique project: to write/record a Daydream Society album with the intention of making every song playable in Clone Hero (the modern PC equivalent of Guitar Hero)

This presented an interesting challenge for a number of reasons:

1. The majority of my Daydream Society songs do not feature much of a “lead” instrument, meaning they would not be particularly fun to play in Guitar Hero. I needed to start crafting my songs differently for the purposes of this project
2. I wanted the songs to be stimulating enough to play in Clone Hero for someone with my skill level, which is like top 200 in the world. So the songs need to be difficult
3. With the two prior points in mind, I still want the songs to “sound” like Daydream Society. I think my stuff has a recognizable sound that’s relatively unique. I don’t want this album to be a massive departure from that sound just to enable the Clone Hero part of things

It has been very fun but very difficult so far to make songs within this frame work. I have three tracks so far which I believe are quite solid and will make the final album. Below I’ll post the videos with the songs AND the accompanying Clone Hero chart:

Probably the best of the bunch:

The first one I finished for the album, has some slight mixing issues I will probably go back and fix. Also the Clone Hero chart has since been adjusted quite a bit thanks to suggestions from Clone Hero charting experts:

I think I'm going to start putting vocals to these songs. The more I listen to them the more I start just kind of subconsciously putting melodies and words to it. I'm far from the greatest singer out there but I do think I have a knack for poetry

Also it can finally be an opportunity to put this real nice song I made in 2017 onto an album:
https://valenceofficial.bandcamp.com/releases

I could probably clean up my vocal performance in spots for this song but overall I've always been very proud of that one.
