This is a reggae jam we've done some time ago

It actually evolved into a song with lyrics and stuff later on, and we've even played it during our gig

The title means "On the Light Side of the Sun"
Which only later we realised was similar to the Floyds

There’s this song I’ve written about 2-3 years ago.

I loved it back then, because I felt like I’ve came out of a writer’s block at the time, and that I’ve written something that could easily get on some alternative rock charts. Also I found the lyrics to be above my usual level (and we kind of identified with them, my girlfirend and I).

But nowadays the song had grown for me - as in „feelings” - because it’s actually the only song I’ve written, where my ex-girlfriend can be heard playing.

I’ve always encouraged her to play music, because I thought She really had talent, especialy for drums and guitar. But She just went on to have a couple of lessons, and never actually followed the path.
Anyway, this song was collaged out of a Jam I once had with her. She plays the keys and I’m playing the drums. Later on I took that dictaphone recording and over-dubbed bass, guitar and vocals.
I asked her to also over-dUb her vocal, but She refused (She always thought She had an ugly voice for some reason).

Now that we’re done, this is the only musical artefact I have of her.
Which is a weird feeling.

Anyway, I was wondering what do you guys think of the track

There’s just four chords in the entire song. These being Amin(1st inversion), C, Emin (2nd inversion) and standard Amin
The lyrics are kind of „Satisfaction” 2.0, for the XXI Century

I'm a Friday night socialite. I spent last night reworking and uploading (to BandCamp) my 3rd attempt at making an album from around 2014. I trimmed some of the fat and tried to make it a bit more cohesive:

I was listenning as well...I did join recently, but only to listen etc. I have no talent musically, unlike my only sibling and late Dad...it stopped with them..sob sob...and artisic ....more sobs..
Yes our Plonker buddie has talent, and now a big head..lol
