Here's an old crusty one. I tried doing a Techno song some 10+ years ago, using a Win98 PC with a Soundblaster sound card. I can't remember the name of the software I was using for the beats.

Ibanez Roadstar to Soundblaster analog input. The distortion was added through the SB's presets post edit. This was the PCI card:
