I listened to your song "The Cause" several days after you posted it in March, and I meant to comment then but got busy with life...

...but now that I have more time, I wanted to tell you I feel it is an A+ song!

I like the roughness of your rhythm guitar with the two versions, one panned left and one right. You've got a nice, driving drum beat and sound, too.

Your vocals are also very good. I like the high vocals panned left and the back-up vocals one octave lower panned right, and I especially like the edgy screaming quality you sometimes use. The only change I might recommend would be to make the lead vocals (panned left) a little louder so they stand out more against the strong electric guitar backdrop.

The song has a lot of energy...and a lot of cowbell! (Actually, there wasn't much cowbell, but just enough and in a spot that felt right.) The song has a pleasant, forceful sound with interesting variety throughout, such as when you choose to have a moment of silence before the electric guitar solo, which is one of my favorite parts of the song. I like the song's overall structure. It is the perfect length, too.

When I first listened to "The Cause," you still had up an earlier version minus the electric guitar solo and some vocals. Comparing that first concept with your finished one, I wanted to tell you that your spiffed up, completed version was a great success and I felt you made good choices for where to take the song.

"The Cause" is a tidy, energetic, forceful song, and I hope you'll make more like it. If you're playing/singing everything yourself, then it's even more impressive.

And boy have I had a creative week. Lots of you guys pump out an album every two weeks but I'm like if I get enough inspiration to make a track a week, but I've made 2-3 easy winners that will go onto an album in the past few days which is really awesome.

This one is another slow-burner that opts for more droney sounds than my previous albums and it's fun to mix up both subtle and abrupt transitions between sections of the song. In summary: making music is awesome when you get a burst of creativity
