I heard a good duo from the mid-60s. It was 'No matter How Hard It Get's'. - Tina Clark & Gary Prim. Is anyone familiar with these two artist? I go back as far as, 70s/Soul. Even then, I am only familiar with half or less. Of the band's, let alone, artist. Thank's for all the previous info....Peace.

Can't say I've ever heard of them. Do you know of any other material by either of them? Together or seperately.

There's a Connie Clarke and a Shellie Clarke, but never heard of a Tina.

I got the song off the DVD/Movie, The Five Heart beats. The closing song. I've got to have the soundtrack! Every artist & song on the movie is classic R&B. Got the artist's name & title off the movie credits, today. Could had misread the title & name?

Could the song your looking for be, 'We Haven't Finished Yet' by Patti Labelle?

No matter how hard it gets we haven't finished yet there's so much of life ahead we got so much to do
No matter how hard we try
We just can't say goodbye
Don't leave me with regrets
cause we haven't finished yet

That is it! RT. Would you know who the male vocalist is, singing duo with Labelle? Another question is. Did Patti Labelle do the song 'My House'? She is one of my favorite female artist. Thanks!

Parliment are awesome, so is Mayfield, but I LOVE, 'What's Goin' On' Marvin ***e's masterpiece. It is dark jazzy and funky. Great flow to the album.
Untill I joined these forums, I didn't know that the bass player was Jamerson. He's very good and I love his style. He and Bootsy rule the funky bottom end.

Marvin ***e - Sexual Healing & Whats Going On. Wow! I agree it doesnt get much better than MG. His stage performance ruled R&B/Soul, just as much as his songs did. - 'We Want The Funk', 'Flashlight', etc. ('The Way of the World', 'Groove Tonight' etc) by, Earth, Wind & Fire. Has always been one of my favorite's of that era. Alot of great Soul & Funk, from the 60s & 70s.

I've ran a check on this and it appears the film version (the version you heard) was sung by a young actress/singer called Tressa Thomas.
She recorded a trio rendition with LaBelle and Billy Valentine for the movie.
And 'My House' (A Heart Is A House For Love?) was by the Dells.
