The album is required to hear it. It is not as straight up as say RHCP (zzzz) or Faith No More. But it has elements in it that are far above it.

That song may not represent the album as a whole. But it is required listening.

Maybe this one would have been the better introduction track:

I can hear the influence, but whenever I think of funk metal I think of slap bass, but that's not what the entire genre is xD. I think I developed a slap bass music fetish, only not in a sexual way. If that's possible.
